Question:

How do I determine which language to set for FTP?

Answer:

If you need to connect to the NAS via FTP, please follow the steps below to configure the language setting.
Please log on to the web administration interface as admin.
In “System Settings->Language Setting” page, select the language that most users will use.
If your FTP client does not support Unicode, e.g. Internet Explorer, CuteFTP, WSFTP or Command->Prompt FTP, go to the "Network Settings->FTP Service" page and disable Unicode support.
If your FTP client supports Unicode, e.g. FileZilla, enable Unicode support in the client.
Then go to the "Network Settings->FTP Service" page and enable Unicode support.
Check if the files can be properly displayed in Internet Explorer.
