Question:
How can the Ciphertex NAS be made to backup share folders on the server automatically to itself via self remote replication?
Answer:
On the NAS, enable the Backup Server for Real-Time Remote Replication services.
Then, setup a Remote Replication Job using Real-Time Remote Replication.
Set the remote server IP address as 127.0.0.1 to make NAS back up the data on itself.
For example, there are two network shares, A and B, on the NAS.
To make the NAS back up data on share A to share B automatically, set the remote NAS IP as 127.0.0.1 and remote folder as share B, and the data will then be backed up from share A to share B.
